Video intro

If you are like our family, the holidays can be an insanely-busy time. Between work, school, and social events, there’s a lot going on. When it’s time to send out a Christmas card, you can end up just doing something quick to get it out the door and move on.

That’s where I come in! Having been a professional photographer since 2005, I’ve had a lot of projects where I’ve needed to come up with ideas quickly, and I can use that experience to help you come up with the perfect Christmas card.

Here’s a quick intro video which talks about how this all works!

If this sounds amazing, reach me via the contact page and I’ll send you a PDF with more information. We’ll discuss ideas and pick one which best represents you and your family. I can come to you for the photo shoot, or we can shoot at my studio in Southwest Austin. Afterwards, I’ll handle all the retouching and text design. Once you approve the final version, I’ll give you the finished cards (you can also order additional cards, prints or canvases for your home). 50 5×7 cards with envelopes are included.

During the shoot, I’ll also take some family shots of you so that you have several images to choose from. A lot of families like to have the fun image on the front of the card, with a great family shot on the back!

Do I travel? Absolutely. Each year I always do sessions in Oklahoma City and Dallas. I also travel nationwide for these shoots, so if that’s something you are interested in, please contact me.

Early-bird incentive for 2018: Any family that I photograph prior to 11/1/2017 will receive a free 20″x30″ canvas of their final image! Dates are booking up for this option though, so please get in touch.

The refrigerator award

In 2013 I started a yearly contest to determine the best Christmas card of that year. It’s a straight-up popular vote, and it’s been a lot of fun watching clients getting their friends and families involved in voting. The winner receives the coveted Refrigerator Trophy, as well as a nice print prize of their winning work.

For 2013, the winner was Mollie and Chris.

For 2014, the winner was Steve and Danette.

For 2015, the winner was Catherine and Darrell.

For 2016, the winner was Catherine and Darrell.

For 2017, the winner was Catherine and Darrell (a three-peat!).

Who will win in 2018?

Why I love creating these images

The greatest part for me is hearing the responses that families get from their friends when they send them the cards! It’s usually something like ‘this image is so you!‘. I love that. It shows that we really captured who the family is, and what’s important to them during this part of their lives.

This year, send a card as unique as your family!
